Direct Relief’s support comes entirely from private individuals, associations, foundations, and businesses that believe in us and our humanitarian mission.
By designating that we may use your contribution wherever most needed, you allow us to strengthen the long-term health systems around the world and respond effectively to emergencies. We commit to spending your money in the most productive, efficient way possible.
If we cannot honor a specific designation you request, we will offer to return your contribution. We do not collect money for a specific cause with the intention of using it for other purposes. All funds we have received for specific tragedies have been devoted entirely to those events, ensuring that disaster victims receive the fullest possible measure of assistance.
A recent bequest has enabled Direct Relief to cover all fundraising and administrative expenses from its own funds. All contributions will be used for programmatic work.
