Direct Relief’s support comes entirely from private individuals, associations, foundations, and businesses that believe in us and our humanitarian mission.
By designating that we may use your contribution wherever most needed, you allow us to strengthen the long-term health systems around the world and respond effectively to emergencies. We commit to spending your money in the most productive, efficient way possible.
If we cannot honor a specific designation you request, we will offer to return your contribution. We do not collect money for a specific cause with the intention of using it for other purposes. All funds we have received for specific tragedies have been devoted entirely to those events, ensuring that disaster victims receive the fullest possible measure of assistance. |

Our Mission
Since 1948, Direct Relief International has worked to improve the quality of life for people in need. We focus on health by providing essential material resources to locally run health programs in poor areas around the world and during times of disaster.
Direct Relief International is a non-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian organization that provides assistance without regard to race, ethnicity, political or religious affiliation, gender, or ability to pay. Beginning on April 1, 2007, 100 percent of your support goes to our programmatic work.
